One of main points in this application is managing of products feeds and tracking visits, orders. Main challenge in application was analytical processing of big data sets. After analysis set of java tools were selected to cover critical places in architecture hBase+Hadoop and Mondrian. While all application is build on Ruby on Rails, set of libraries were made for communication with those java frameworks. As a result we have a big system build on RoR with managing of data in java frameworks. On one hand, such approach makes application very flexible and easily extensible, and, on the other hand, it gives ability to process and store unlimited set of data.
