Our client is a leading medical cannabis marketing platform that increases retention, boosts revenue, builds customer loyalty, and creates smarter marketing campaigns.

It appeared that medical cannabis market was less developed because of numerous restrictions and laws, therefore marketing innovations had a significant potential to grow. The founders of the company had a solid experience in creating loyalty programs for retail businesses, so they involved their expertise in such a competitive industry, to medical cannabis dispensaries and brands.

When we joined the project in August 2021 it already had a list of features available and the project was intensively growing, so that their own developers were unable to support this growth. Gera-IT was chosen among a list of others, because we had appropriate experience, and could sort all existing features out, deal with the functionality and keep the application growing.

It was a perfect match, we quickly understood each other and started working.

What is special about the Project?

Technical challenges are quite common for us - creating Apps with HIPAA compliance and high levels of data security, as part of the distribution system is connected to the medical institutions and dispensaries. All business processes are under governmental control and any violations may lead to penalties.

Also worth noticing is that this project has many integrations with dozens of services and our team needs to constantly and quickly learn new technologies as well as to search for better solutions.

The database today includes 5000+ merchants and over 10 millions customers, which exchange over 15 millions messages weekly (sms/push/email).
